I always cherish receiving photos of readers with my book, but this one holds a special place in my heart. In 1993, this incredible family opened their home to me as an exchange student, an experience that would profoundly change my life.   I vividly recall the moment we left the airport parking lot on my first day, when my host father played Ben E. King's timeless classic, "Stand By Me." Seeing that, even after three decades, they continue to stand by me on my journey is truly heartwarming.
